The cleaner way to clear

Why Landowners Choose Mulching

Forestry mulching turns standing brush, cedar, mesquite, and small trees into a layer of mulch in a single pass. There is no pushing everything into piles, no waiting on a burn day, and no line of dump trucks leaving your property.

The mulch layer left behind is not just tidy. It shades out regrowth, holds moisture through a Texas summer, and stops the erosion that bare-scraped ground invites on sloped East Texas land.

It is the right tool for a lot of jobs, and the wrong one for some. If you are building next month, you likely want conventional clearing and grubbing instead, and we will tell you that plainly at the estimate rather than sell you the wrong service.

How it works

Our Process

01. Look at the growth

Diameter and density decide whether mulching is the right call. We assess it honestly on the walk-through.

02. One flat quote

By the job, in writing, free. Because mulching needs no hauling or burning, it is often the most economical way to clear.

03. Grind it in place

The mulcher works through brush and small trees, leaving an even layer of chips that feeds the soil instead of a scar.

04. Final pass together

We walk the finished ground with you. Missed a spot or want a lane widened, we handle it then and there.

Built for East Texas Growth

Cedar breaks around Cedar Creek Lake, mesquite pushing into Ellis County pastures, yaupon swallowing Van Zandt County fence lines. This is exactly the vegetation forestry mulching was made for, and we run it across all four counties from Canton, TX to Ennis, TX.

Questions

Forestry Mulching Questions

What size trees can a forestry mulcher handle?

Brush and trees up to roughly 6 to 8 inches in diameter mulch cleanly and economically. Bigger than that and conventional clearing usually makes more sense. Most properties are a mix, so we often mulch the understory and cut the big ones separately.

Is mulching cheaper than regular land clearing?

Often, yes, because there is nothing to haul away and no dump fees. Whether it is right for your property depends on what you are doing with the land, which is exactly what the free walk-through sorts out.

Will the mulch kill the grass underneath?

A thin, even layer protects the soil and breaks down into it. We control the depth so pasture can come back through it. Thick piles are a sign of a rushed operator, and we do not leave them.

Does mulching stop the brush from coming back?

It sets regrowth back significantly and the mulch layer suppresses new sprouts, but East Texas brush is persistent. Many of our ranch customers have us back on a maintenance cycle every couple of years, which costs a fraction of the first clearing.
